x64 LiveCD ISO

This is the 64-bit install/live disc image. It is intended to be written to a CD, and then booted to perform the initial install. If you are using 64-bit hardware, this is probably the file you want.

This is the 32-bit install/live disc image. It is intended to be written to a CD, and then booted to perform the initial install. If you are using hardware that is not 64-bit capable, this is probably the file you want.

x64 LiveUSB img.gz

This is the 64-bit install/LiveUSB image. It is intended to be written to a USB Flash drive, and then booted to perform the initial install. If you are using 64-bit hardware, but no optical drive, this is probably the file you want.

x86 LiveUSB img.gz

This is the 32-bit install/LiveUSB image. It is intended to be written to a USB Flash drive, and then booted to perform the initial install. If you are using hardware that is not 64-bit capable, and also do not have an optical drive, this is probably the file you want.

x64 Embedded img.xz

This is the upgrade/CF image for 64-bit hardware. It is only useful if you are performing an upgrade from WebGUI. This file is NOT what you are looking for otherwise. First system install needs to be done by livecd/usb only!

It does NOT include any installer mechanisms, and IS NOT intended to be written directly to any media.

x86 Discontinuation

We believe that 32-bit versions of NAS4Free do not provide end users with it's full potential. For that reason, further development on the (i386) 32-bit architecture has been stopped as of the 11.0.0.4.xxxx series. Current 32-bit users are still able to use the 32-bit 10.3.0.3.xxxx series until it's end of life.
